Didn’t hit my goal this week, but I am still moving forward.

Art – About 42% done – up from 33%

I decided that a few images should be redone, so that slowed me down. And a few images took a little more work than I had hoped.  

I worry that I am too much of a perfectionist, and focus too much on minutia with the poses. I am always forcing myself to not be perfect. To say, “That’s good enough.”

But I am saving poses so I can draw on them again, making posing the characters easier in the future. Pretty much building my own library of poses for each character. Poses are still almost always a starting point for me.

Story – The next release is done.

Minor rewrites, but pretty much the images are fitting well with the story.

Code (i.e., Ren’Py) – Core is done… for the most part

Nothing to add.

Final Thoughts:

I would love if I could move quicker. I know I am improving. My skills are slowly getting better, and my poses are becoming quicker. I figure if I can improve about 1% a week, that’s good enough. That means I would be 66% better in a year. 178% better in two, and 367% better in 3.

Unfortunately, that takes time. But 3 years is coming no matter what. I just wish I started 3 years earlier.
